SEHO PowerVision

With the PowerVision SEHO focusses on two key points in the manufacturing of THT assemblies: Continuous quality assurance and cost-efficient production processes.

The PowerVision stands for fast, automated optical inspection, and it is particularly designed for THT processes. The system can be configured depending on the manufacturing requirements: For component placement inspection in front of a wave or a selective soldering machine, or for solder joint inspection after wave or selective soldering processes, or as a combination of both inspection tasks, integrated into the same module to save space.

The system reliably detects typical placement defects such as presence of components or polarity, and soldering defects like incomplete solder joints, solder bridges or solder balls. Additionally, the system is capable of reading and processing product IDs.

Generation of test plans is made easily and comfortably. Moreover, the software provides analyzing tools such as a heat map and trend analysis that efficiently help to optimize the entire production process.

New pulsar emitters allow remarkably higher flexibility in the preheat area of this innovative wave soldering system. The preheating concept ensures cost-efficient production of large series as well as batch sizes of one.

SEHO’s new automatic nozzle height adjustment provides higher flexibility in the soldering area. The height of the solder nozzles can be adjusted via the software, to create the optimal product-specific distance between the circuit board and solder nozzle. This new function thus provides independence from the workpiece carrier design without affecting cycle times.

Consistent height of the solder wave is crucial for wave soldering processes. SEHO presents the first automatic wave height measurement, built into the soldering section of the MWS 2300.

This feature is based on a contact measurement that produces reliable results and processes for laminar as well as turbulent solder waves. Based on the measuring results, the wave height is automatically regulated within adjustable tolerances.
